Went to see The Antlers last night with a few friends. Oh boy they went above and beyond my expectations (which were high to begin with). Their performance was heartbreakingly and breathtakingly beautiful. So much soul and passion. I got to chat with the main vocal/lyricist, Peter and keyboardist/trumpeter Darby post-show. It was an unforgettable night :)

Árstíðir performing the 13th century Icelandic hymn “Heyr himna smiður” at a train station in Wuppertal, Germany. "Heyr, himna smiður" was written by Kolbeinn Tumason in 1208. The music was composed in the 1970s by Þorkell Sigurbjörnsson (1938-2013), one of Iceland’s foremost contemporary composers.
